Tacoma Against Nazis is a group of concerned community members who want our city to be a welcoming place, a place where we celebrate the rich cultural, ethnic, and racial diversity this world has to offer. However, not everyone in our city is onboard with this. In fact, some are Nazis - Nazis who believe it’s their mission to rid the world of any such diversity.

What does this have to do with Jim and Nancy Guse?

Jim and Nancy are the property owners of Tac Town Tattoo, a tattoo parlor run by documented neo-Nazis. They’re affiliated with the Hammerskins - the country’s most violent and dangerous white supremacist gang. For the last six months Tacoma Against Nazis (learn more about our group here) has tried to convince Jim and Nancy that it’s not a good look to rent to Nazis, even if they do pay rent. Unfortunately, when we tried to talk to Jim, he hung up on us. He’s not responding to our emails or letters.

We believe that by renting this property to neo-Nazis, Jim and Nancy Guse are putting an entire community at risk. They’re putting their own financial interests above the safety of the people who live around the shop.

What do we mean by Nazis?

When we say Nazis, we mean Nazis. Swastikas, SS bolts and other Nazi symbology are literally tattooed on the body of the owners of Tac Town Tattoo.

In the slide show below you can see this for yourselves. You may notice the constant use of “Crew 38”. This is directly referencing the Hammerskins, who according to the Anti-Defamation League is “the most violent and best-organized neo-Nazi skinhead group in the United States.” In 2017, the Southern Poverty Law Center identified the Hammerskins as a racist skinhead hate group.

You probably notice the numbers 88 and 14 (more info here). Both numbers are common white supremacist symbols as they reference Hitler and a white ethno-state.

Additionally, co-owners Jason and Irma keep company with other white supremacists like Jake Prior, who is not only active with Patriot Front but are also looking to get more involved with Crew 38. This article explains Jake’s involvement in white supremacist activities around Tacoma.
